Story starts one morning in the Far North when
Spanky goes for a ride….. Gets to the base of one
of the ranges we all like to ride… then… Down he
goes.. DEISEL..!!!! If your are a rider you know
its one of our worst enemies .. and the dicks that
let it overflow on the roads need to be castrated…!!!!!!!!
Any how I
digress.. The purpose of this little story is
to let you know were it all started…
From the mess that was left...
we were given the task to get it
ready… and we had 8 weeks as it was being shipped
to the UK for a 6 week trip to watch the north
west 200 and the isle of man TT..
As you can see
by the pic of the smashed bike it was in a pretty

bad way… not only did he want it back on the road..
but he wanted, new carbon body work, the suspension
re worked.. so they were stripped and TiN coating
was applied to the stanchions and the outers were
anodized black. Galfer front and rear disks and
a full titanium bolt kit..flip up leavers, High
comp pistons fitted and different cams… and of coarse
it had to be re-mapped to suit all the engine mods
and the new full Akrapoivic system..
With a few late nights on the dyno to get some cool
temps that would be some where close to the temps
in the UK.. the bike came off pumping out a respectable
132hp..

Now it has returned and the mods are still going…
CBR1000RR wheels are now at home on it.. which are
1.46KG lighter than standard,
Next on the list is the fitment of an SP2 swing arm,
Custom hidden rear caliper, SP2 throttle bodies, we
are going to stroke the crank by 4mm, bore it 2mm over
size to 1106cc , custom carbon air box , carbon intake
snorkel, we have redesigned the |
cam
profiles and they will be going in then of cause
more time on the dyno to get this fire breather
of a twin singing … |
