is a project street fighter… Again, customer brief
was he wanted a naked bike.. ( or bikini faired)
with all the good stuff in it that we could suggest…
and it must Mono.., be comfortable and carry two… |
So here it starts.. The basis was a 93 fireblade, Stripped and basically kept the engine ( more on that later) and the frame... Fitted an RC45 swing arm and Ducati rear wheel.. We have custom made the linkages and wheel spacers... Fitted 916 forks with TiN coating and re-valved to riders style and weight.. Outers were anodised black, We removed the original fork boots and replaced them with radial mount type.. |

The body work as minimal as it will be is on the drawing board and will be made in house too... as will the custom carbon tank.. Tail unit is loosely based on ZX10R and the seat come from a Z750S (American market bike).. Which has the two up comfort he required.. When I have scanned the hand drawings in of the fairings they will be here for you to see.. and we'll see how close we get in the finished article as we all know fantasy and reality are often a pen stroke away from each other.. started life as a 93 900 blade motor.. The camshafts are reground to fire as a triple ( a growler).. a big bang was considered but I have reservations wether the blade crank would take the full punishment of a full on big bang.. Especially as its planned to go over to the UK for a trip to the TT. Too far away to have problems easily fixed.. The head has been ported, polished and flowed, it flows enough gas to produce 200 HP but we are not expecting it to get up in those regions. But its always good to have room to move... |
